THE HIGH LINE HOTEL, New York – A Smart Stay in the City
About the Hotel
Historic Seminary Setting
The High Line Hotel occupies a red-brick building from 1895, originally part of the General Theological Seminary. Collegiate Gothic architecture and vintage furnishings define the interiors, with antique rugs and curated decor by Roman and Williams. The gated courtyard features lush gardens and gas lamps, evoking an Ivy League campus.

Bigelow toiletries, bathrobes, and slippers. Suites add a seating area with a decorative fireplace and unique books.
Coffee Bar & Cocktails
Intelligentsia Coffee serves pour-overs, espresso drinks, and pastries in the lobby. By evening, the space transitions into a bar offering craft cocktails like the frozen Negroni, local craft ales, and wine.

The hotel is 50 yards from the High Line park, 6 minutes from Chelsea Market, and 10 minutes from the Meatpacking District. Nearby landmarks include the Whitney Museum (1 km) and David Zwirner Gallery (0.3 km). The 23 Street subway station is 550 meters away.

Guest Ratings & Reviews
The hotel is located in the wonderful Chelsea neighborhood, very near the skyline & Chelsea market. The rooms are cozy; however, some have extremely poor lighting even with curtains open. The service offered is excellent, with efficient dry cleaning and bell staff/porter available. The location on 10th Avenue is perfect, being right in front of the High Line park and close to Times Square. The dining experience offers traditional dishes. Overall, the hotel provides a great stay with its clean and comfortable rooms, friendly service, and picturesque location.
I stayed at this hotel and had a great experience overall. The location was fantastic, near the wonderful Chelsea neighborhood and close to everything. The rooms were comfortable, but the lighting was extremely poor. The service was excellent, and the staff was attentive. The dining experience was pleasant with delicious pasta. However, the facilities could use a bit of improvement. The price for the stay was reasonable, considering the value offered.
The hotel is in a prime location in the wonderful Chelsea neighborhood, very near the skyline and Chelsea market. The rooms are spacious with a large bathroom and a really comfortable bed, but with extremely poor lighting in the bedroom under the window. The service was impeccable offering dry cleaning, bell staff/porter, wedding services, and tours/ticket assistance. The hotel is right in front of the High Line park, nestled in a reasonably quiet area with plenty of places to grab a bite, although the coffee shop was not open early. The dining experience offers traditional regional homemade products. The facilities are modern and convenient.
The hotel is located in the wonderful Chelsea neighborhood, very near the skyline and Chelsea market, within walking distance of many activities and next to great restaurants. The rooms, although with extremely poor lighting, were spacious with a large bathroom even with curtains open. The service was great with helpful staff offering dry cleaning, bell staff/porter services, and wedding assistance. Dining included delicious Moroccan pancakes. The facilities were convenient and well-maintained, providing a comfortable stay.
The hotel is perfectly located in the vibrant Chelsea neighborhood, close to the skyline and Chelsea market. The rooms are well-appointed with a large bathroom and a super cozy bed, although the lighting could use improvement. The service is top-notch, offering convenient amenities like dry cleaning and tours assistance. The dining experience, especially the cakes, is a real treat. Overall, a great value for money stay with a few room lighting considerations to keep in mind.
